Central Board Okays Fee Increase For Contest Officials

        For the first time in more than six years, Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) contest officials will receive a fee increase in all sports. The increase was approved by the AHSAA Central Board of Control and takes effect for the 2013-14 sports seasons.

        The fee increases range from $3.00-$15.00 depending on the sport. The action also includes a change from the per-mile calculation of mileage for each crew to a flat rate mileage allowance per official.
