Super Six Coaches Weekend - 2005

AHSAA

The Super 6 Coaches Weekend Dec. 1-3 at the Wynfrey Hotel in Birmingham is designed to give every AHSAA coach in Alabama an opportunity to share in the annual Super 6 championship event as well as provide a coaching clinic and fellowship.

The Super 6 event is co-sponsored by the AHSAA and the Birmingham Monday Morning Quarterback Club.

The clinic will be held in the Wynfrey Ballrooms C, D &E and the luncheon in Wynfrey Ballrooms A & B.

Activities planned for Coaches Weekend:

  • Six Super 6 championship games are at Legion Field. A coach is admitted free with the official “coach’s card” of the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association.  (The card and a photo ID will allow the coach “and one” admission to each game.)
  • Free coaching clinic Friday featuring Mike Shula and members of his Alabama staff, Watson Brown and Pat Sullivan of UAB, and Jack Crowe of Jacksonville State .
  • Coaches Hospitality Suite during the state championship games.

The FCA Luncheon Friday will feature Ken Sparks, head coach at Carson-Newman College.   (Seating is limited to the first 350 coaches that pre-register.)

REGISTRATION: (Deadline Nov. 24) Coaches must pre-register for the clinic and luncheon by fax (205-968-0960). For additional information, contact Jack Baker at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes office (205-298-9400 or jbaker@fca.org).
