The Super 6 Coaches Weekend Dec. 9-11 in the East Ballroom A of the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center is designed to give every AHSAA coach in Alabama an opportunity to share in the annual Super 6 championship event as well as provide a coaching clinic and fellowship.
The Super 6 event is co-sponsored by the AHSAA and the Birmingham Monday Morning Quarterback Club.
Activities planned for Coaches Weekend:
- Two Super 6 championship games are at Legion Field and four at the Hoover Met Stadium. A coach is admitted free with the official “coach’s card” of the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association. (The card and a photo ID will allow the coach “and one” admission to each game.)
- Free coaching clinic Friday featuring Coach Tommy Tuberville and several members of his Auburn University staff .
- Coaches Hospitality Suite during the state championship games. (Due to the limited space and safety concerns, the hospitality suite will be for COACHES ONLY. A coach’s card and a photo ID will be required.)
The FCA Luncheon Friday will feature Les Steckel, the incoming President/CEO of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. (Seating is limited to the first 350 coaches that pre-register.)
