NFHS Network To Broadcast AHSAA All-Star Contests
MONTGOMERY – The NFHS TV Network plans to live-stream all eight All-Star Week all-star contests during this year’s 18th annual AHSAA Summer Conference and All-Star Sports Week in Montgomery July 21-25, according to an announcement Friday by Alvin Briggs, Director of the Alabama High School Athletic Directors & Coaches Association (AHSADCA).
Viewers will be able to access these games at www.nfhsnetwork.com via the NFHS TV Network subscriber program. The Network can also be accessed at www.ahsaa.com by clicking on the NFHS Network link.
The football, baseball and boys’ and girls’ basketball contests will be broadcast using a multi-camera production. Softball, soccer and volleyball will be covered with single-camera stream kits, said NFHS Network’s Stefan Lollar.
The Network also plans to live-stream the AHSAA Sportsmanship Luncheon (July 25) and the Championship Coaches Awards Banquet (July 25).

The football all-star teams are scheduled to report Sunday afternoon and begin practice Sunday night in preparation for Thursday night’s 55th North-South Game at Cramton Bowl. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Keith Etheredge of Leeds High School is the North head coach, and Trent Taylor of Straughn will lead the South. The North squad will practice at Saint James School and the South will practice at Trinity Presbyterian.
The North-South baseball all-star doubleheader will be played at Riverwalk Stadium, home of the Montgomery Biscuits, Tuesday, July 22 with the first pitch at 4 p.m. The North-South girls’ soccer match will be played at 5 p.m. July 22 at the Emory Folmar Soccer Complex near AUM. The boys’ all-star match will follow at 7. The North-South softball doubleheader will be played at Lagoon Park with the first pitch set for 6 p.m.
The North-South girls’ and boys’ basketball games will be played at Alabama State’s Dunn-Oliver Acadome at 6 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 23. The boys’ game will be the 71st in a series that began in 1953. The North-South volleyball competition will be held at Faulkner University July 24 at 4 p.m., and the North-South football all-star game closes out the all-star competition Thursday night.
All-Stars in the football game are seniors who graduated in 2014. All other all-star participants will be seniors in 2014-15.
The AHSAA was the first association to join the NFHS Network, which launched last fall and has now grown to 36 associations across the nation. The 2013 AHSADCA Champions Challenge Football Classic was the first event televised by the NFHS Network. The AHSAA state volleyball championship was the first championship event broadcast by the Network as well. Since then, the NFHS Network has broadcast more than 28,000 live events in 27 different sports with over 3 million unique viewers.
In another first with the NFHS Network, Digital Scout, which has now partnered with the NFHS Network, will provide its online live stats service for the AHSAA’s North-South Football All-Star Game. Digital Scout will also be offering its services to AHSAA member schools this fall.
