Vigor Forfeits Five Football Victories

Vigor High School has been fined, placed on probation for one year and ordered to forfeit five varsity football games for a violation of AHSAA transfer rules.

The school has used a transfer student during this season in violation of the Bona Fide Move rule. Vigor must forfeit all contests its team won in which the student participated. Football forfeits include wins over non-region opponent Davidson and Class 5A, Region 1 opponents LeFlore, Williamson, B.C. Rain and Gulf Shores.
Vigor’s overall record is now 1-8 and its region record is 1-6.
The probationary period is a warning that other violations of this nature could bring further sanctions against the school.
